This was originally shared on my blog in June of 2010. After a few emails from readers asking about photo textures, I hope there are many of you that will find it helpful.
The past few days I have been having so much fun playing with the Flypaper Photo Textures I thought I should write another post here and reference my previous tutorial post. To my dismay, I learned that I hadn't yet moved it to this blog - so today you get both in one post.
My favorite photo transformation from yesterday - here is the before with just the basic edits in Lightroom:
And the after with aqua sparkles and leaky garret from the Tex Box One collection:
I love these textures - combine them with blending modes and opacity and you can take a photo to art rather quickly. I don't want to leave you without the how-to so below is the original post with tutorial in both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements - enjoy!

I am so excited about today's tutorial! I found these textures a few months ago and I am so excited to show you all how to use them in photos for your layouts. I am sharing not only videos for both Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements, I have also added a 4x6 Photo Overlay Freebie and written instructions that you can download for both CS and PSE!
