***GIVEAWAY*** Mini is BIG!
We need to start this post with a disclaimer...if you are one of those scrapbookers who is TOTALLY caught up, completely organized and totally sure of your album strategy and creative process...do not read further...
However, if you are HUMAN like the rest of us, and love the feeling of accomplishment that comes when you strategically create a piece of scrapbook art that ALSO tells a story - this is totally a post you should read. There is something Big that was recently released from the team at Simple Scrapbooks Magazine and it is all about little things that go over big - specifically mini albums...
This special issue, Mini Albums in an evening, promises to inspire you with projects that can be completed in less than one evening of reality television....
I don't know about you, but with the slim pickings of great reality TV these days, the idea of creating a lasting keepsake instead of watching a Bachelor Rose Ceremony is HIGHLY appealing!
Here are some of the the things I loved about this special issue....
- 114+ pages of yummy visual inspiration - everything from the actual albums created to cute and creative ways to display the albums you create
- Tips galore (271) throughout the issue on everything from journaling, design, creativity, type, just about every secret you would want to know on how to make a mini-album look fabulous
- The ability to go online after reading the issue to find even more inspiration, templates, and materials lists on every single album (that would be 58 of them!) in the issue
My favorite thing about this issue for digital scrapbookers? I think that this book is not only inspiring but also a great hybrid resource! One could totally run with the ideas in the issue there are also some great product suggestions for albums and other products that could be used in hybrid scrapbooking...
Now for the best part - I have FOUR of these special issues to give away - along with some really fun buttons designed by none other than the fabulous Cathy Z herself... so if you want one all you have to do is leave me a comment in the comments section about your favorite mini album or template along with your blog address and why you are excited about this special issue. If you are feeling REALLY excited about the issue, feel free to pick up this rotating GIF and display it on your blog...
If you hate waiting for contest results and can't stand it - by all means pick up your own issue at the Simple Store - either way you can't go wrong!
DETAILS: One entry per person. I will be drawing from the comments when I get back into town on the 4th of August so that means you all have plenty of time to comment and/or to post those blinkies!!
Two of the issues will be given via a random drawing from the comments and two more will be given from among those who display the button on their blogs that we see...rumor has it I will be mailing out some more buttons as consolation prizes...so do comment and tell your friends!

Well, I am absolutely not caught up on my scrapbooking and these might give me a little incentive!!!!
Thanks!!!

WOO HOO!! How much fun is this!! I just ordered some Filigree albums to do for family for Christmas(of Kaylie of course)! Little quick albums are so much fun and yes you have such a fun sense of Accomplishment when you finish them :) I am doing a SUPER fast mini one to hang on my camera case when we head to Philly next week. Friends back there who have never seen Kaylie will want to see photos and what a fun way to show them!!
We are leaving for the coast this morning for a camping trip with the in-laws. 3 days at the beach!! then home re-pack and head to Philly on the 4th for work but it will still be fun.
Are you still in Yellowstone?
My favorite mini album was one I did for my MIL of Family. Most of the photos were from Paul's 50th Birthday, we took a jet-boat trip with dinner. So lots of fun shots.:)
Gotta get outta here! Chat at ya later :)
PS still looking forward to some FF (Fabulous Fotos) lol

I love the little badge albums and recently I saw a card album- you adhere the pieces to playing cards, laminate and put a key ring in for a cute little album. I'm so excited to try it!

Your excitement for this book/magazine was enough to get me going, then I saw the photograph of the scalloped album and was SOLD. LOVE IT - and love the idea of getting something done quickly for a change. I also love the hybrid idea - my fav. thing these days. Thanks Kayla!

I've been looking in the stores for that Mini album issue. But if I can win it, then that's even better. I added the blinkie to my blog and linked it back to your blog. Hope you have a great trip.

Wow! This is the first I have heard about this issue. I am disabled and on a very tight budget. I make my computer serve a multitude of purposes for me. It is entertainment, creative outlook, communication, etc., etc. For the past few years I have used it to make not just my Christmas cards, but my Christmas gifts also. I have been jotting down ideas for creating mini albums for my family. This issue would be a wonderful resource to help me carry out this desire.
Crossing my fingers and toes ... and wishing you well!

Oooh, I would love to win on of those!! I'm a bit mini album challenged and I have heard such wonderful things about it! I recently did a little mini album that I made from laminate counter top samples that you can pick up for free at any home improvement store! It's a mini album of my daughter's drawings and it turned out so cute! It was simple, too! :)
I don't have a blog, but I hope I can still be entered! Thank you for the chance!! Hugs! :)

This seems like a great issue. I hope you pick me and that this issue proves me wrong... I will have to see it to believe it that I can finish an album in one evening :) I'm slooooow as molasses.

Can't wait to see this special issue in person! I find the special issues to be so inspiring to me. I only do mini's and have never even done an album-size layout.

I love all the special issues that Simple puts out--but the album issues are my favorite. This one looks so fabulous--and just what I need to get myself going again, and catch up on all the summer pictures I've taken!!!!!!!!!!

I have been SOOO wanting one of these books.
This is exactly why SIMPLE SCRAPBOOKS is my favorite magazine. The philosophy of making it simple and easy and fun.
And getting an album done in one night?!! Shut UP!!!
Perfection.

I love to look at a book like this several times, once for color, another for design, again to read the journaling. I always feel inspired to take an idea and make it my own. I love how when you see a mini album you just cannot help yourself from picking it up and flipping though. And to me, little is just so darn cute!

My favorite mini is one I made about playing on the golf team in high school. It was all about starting the team and having so much success and winning state right away the second year of the team being created! I'm so excited about this issue! Whipping something up in a night is really hard for picky people, so hopefully I'll be able to learn from it and make some minis in a night!

I have two favorite mini albums: my engagement album and a scripture album. The scripture album started as a way to reflect on God's promises and minimize my worries before some medical tests. It is a ongoing album that I add to as I find new verses.
