My First Video Tutorial...

So this post is up late today - that's what I get for tackling new technology...I am very interested to know what you all think of my first video tutorial - leave me comments - please!  :)  Thanks.

So this weekend I had a lot of fun making this layout -

Emily_carousel

I chose the papers because they matched the colors my dd was wearing - how fun is that?  I used Shabby Miss Jenn's Brand new Harvest Night kit along with her French Attic Kit.  The flourish frame around the journaling comes from Gracie's Garden Kit

I decided to do a tutorial on recoloring the overlay and frame - so here it is...

Great tutorial, you did an excellent job. Am hoping that there will be many more. Thanks for posting it at ScrapMatters.

I think it´s a fantastic tutorial and the idea of using the overlay to frame the journalling instead of the classic tag or something else, is terrific. It´s great to know about the trying to get darker colour that in diagonal.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial it's great. :O)

Best wishes. :O)

Ok, Oh MY GOSH!!!!! that was soooo cool, do you know you totally rock!! Awesome tutorial, you taught me so many things in this one. Man I have been doing things way harder than that and they don't turn out nearly that wonderful!! I am so jazzed. Besides I loved hearing your voice, now that was a treat. Something about hearing it and seeing at the same time is so much easier for me to learn than just reading something!

Sorry but this is turning into a book but WOW I loved it! You said you were a bit late posting this because you were tackling new technology. Good grief I can't even figure out how to use 4shared!! You just rock, I am so impressed and so thankful that I found your blog!!

I use CS2 so this was totally fabulous for me. I am going to watch this one over and over until I can do it without thinking!!

THANK YOU!

Oh Kayla, I just LOVE your accent and listening to you!! You know I'm not a digiscrapper but I really enjoyed your tutorial. And the layout is absolutely gorgeous, as usual!

You have an accent?! I thought you did an amazing job. So professional! Never would have guess its your first!

I truly enjoyed your tutorial. You have a pleasant tone of voice, even humorous at times. I am going to try out what you taught me. I use Photoshop, so this is perfect for me. I have never used alt. control, G; so eager to try it.

Thanks so much.

I think you did a wonderful job on your tutorial. I didn't notice an accent either. I use Photoshop Elements for Mac, but I'll have to try the alt. contro, G and see if it does anything with my program. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I look forward to more!
Robin

You done great on the video.
im just learning so i got alot from that! thanks

Nice tutorial. This works in Elements too. i cannot see the entire video with your three column blog layout, but I see enough. Great to hear your voice.

What software did you use to capture your video? I'm just beginning to play with them to choose one I like best.

Great job on the tutorial. I have never done it your way, I generally use color overlay and the blend modes. I'm wondering if the results are different, so I'll have to try your way. Thx.

I'm wondering too, what software you used for your video? I'm looking for something inexpensive but easy to use....

Very nice tutorial and it's hard to believe it's your first. you did a great job. I've been recoloring elements for quite awhile, but the "diagonal" color picking idea was new. And I use Elements 5 so have a tray to pull from - you make it look easier to have some items layered on the workspace.
Thanks - and please keep this up. I have you bookmarked!

Great tutorial, you asked about Photoshop elements uses. i am one and would love tutorials for it too.

Thanks sooo much

Thank you thank you!! I have never recolored this way. I can't wait to try it! You ROCK. I really hope this is the first of many video tutorials. It's so nice to hear a voice and see you do it!!

Great tutorial. I'm new to digi scrapping and I'm trying to absorb as much as possible. I have PSE 5 and I tried to follow along with what you were doing but couldn't get the Ctrl Alt G command to work. I got stuck there. Not sure if it's different in elements or I did something wrong.

Wonderful tutorial. You make it look so easy! Thanks. I use PSE. :)

A brilliant tutorial Kayla. You are a natural. Did you do this with Camtasia?
I've just got to Stumble this.

I really enjoyed your tutorial! Very nicely presented. I use Elements 3 so would love some elements tutorials! I also have PSP but haven't worked in it since I know PSE already and have not taken the time to learn. Thanks again for your tutorial - I'm going to see how much I can apply to PSE.
