If you've followed me for any amount of time you'll know by now that the one thing that is pretty constant around here is CHANGE. :)
I was trained a long time ago in the philosophy of Kaizen by a mentor in another industry. This is a practice that demands never-ending constant improvement. Improvement also means growth and learning. Taking what one has learned and applying that knowledge to improve.
In the past year I pursued a lot of opportunities. I didn't want to miss out on anything. As a result, I crashed and burned. I also learned a lot from the experience. As I have thought long and hard about what I would do next, I have thought about things from a completely different perspective than a year ago.
One of the most important lessons I have learned is how important and precious my time is. In the spirit of simplicity and doing more with less, I have decided to focus all my teaching efforts on one site.
My reasons for this change are many. Most notably to simplify the work I am doing and to be as effective as possible with the time I have. As a member of the Scrapper's Guide team I can focus most on what I love - teaching and coming up with ideas. I also love the members of the team - I finally have a place I feel at "home" online. I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than anything I could have done alone.
I am also grateful to be working with Linda Sattgast. When it comes to digital scrapbooking, there is no one I know who has done more to teach and share quality education with so many. She truly is the foremost Adobe expert on digital scrapbooking.
Now for the changes you will see here. I will be focusing all of my teaching and tutorial work on Scrapper's Guide. I will also be sharing informal tutorials and creative tidbits here. I'm still available by email (thelegacylady at gmail.com) and things will be a bit more balanced.
In other words, change, like a new butterfly, is good. :)
PS - you can see my first post on the new blog, Digital Scrapper, here.
